Education in its broadest sense is any act or experience that has a formative effect on the mind, character or physical ability of an individual. In its technical sense education is the process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, skills and values from one generation to another. Teachers in educational institutions direct the education of students and might draw on many subjects, including reading, writing, mathematics, science and history. This process is sometimes called schooling when referring to the education of teaching only a certain subject, usually as professors at institutions of higher learning. There is also education in fields for those who want specific vocational skills, such as those required to be a pilot. In addition there is an array of education possible at the informal level, such as, in museums and libraries, with the Internet and in life experience. The right to education has been described as a basic human right: since 1952, Article 2 of the first Protocol to the European Convention on Human Rights obliges all signatory parties to guarantee the right to education. At world level, the United Nations' International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of 1966 guarantees this right under its Article 13. From Wikipedia under the
GNU Free Documentation License What is the education requirement difference between a neuropsychologist and psychologist? Q. I was wondering, what is the difference between the education needed to become a neuropsychologist vs. a psychologist? I know there is obviously a difference, and I'd lie to know how much more education one needs to be a neuropsychologist. Are there more science-based classes that need to be taken? I want to be a neuropsychologist, but I don't know how much more I would have to do in school. If it's as much as a doctor, then I definately won't. Thanks so much. Asked by SC - Tue Nov 6 17:25:11 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. The training is different. You want to find a school that has a neuropsychology specialization and ensure that you take classes on physiological psychology, neuroanatomy, neuropsychological testing, and psychopharmacology.. You should also obtain a predoctoral internship in neuropsychology that is APA or CPA accredited. After you graduate, you will need a postdoctoral neuropsychology residency or fellowship. Right now, I am planning on transferring to NIU and majoring in Music Education. I am still searching for other options. Answered by Quagmire What education do I need to become a commercial airline pilot?
Q. This is something I am REALLY passionate about. I am in 11th grade and need to start thinking and making choices about what to do for college. I do not know what education is needed. Thank you so much for answering! Asked by ~Aurora~ - Tue Sep 29 21:24:28 2009 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments A. 1. Stay in school and get your 4-year degree. Most airlines require one. They don't generally care what the degree is in, they just want one. 2. Stay away from drugs. Stay away from people who do drugs. This includes grass. 3. If you drink, NEVER drink and drive---a DUI is a career killer 4. Avoid getting tickets. Many airlines require that you submit your national driving record with your application. Too many tickets=no interview. You are speaking of entering a career that is incredibly unforgiving of any offenses involving the police: DUI, drugs, assault, etc. The company will, some day, launch you in a 150 million dollar jet, and have to just trust your judgment. Your record needs to be spotless. You must be in reasonable health to… [cont.] Answered by RickH - Tue Sep 29 21:45:18 2009 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Education" Quotations about education.
